Things to do

The cabin is located next to many recreational areas. For hiking, wildlife viewing and sightseeing you can visit Rocky Mountain National Park, Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, Wild Basin, Brainard Lake Recreation Area, Roosevelt and Arapahoe National Forests and Longs Peak. If you prefer to take it easy, you can sightsee while horseback riding at the Allenspark Livery. While in Allenspark make sure to check out the local restaurants. The Meadow Mountain Cafe has a widespread following for their breakfast and lunch menu, while the Fawn Brook Inn is known for their fine dining. Also, Tapesty of Life Coffee House offers coffee, snacks and beer and wine.

Other activities include rock climbing, fishing, mountain biking, shopping, visiting neighboring towns of Estes Park, Lyons or Boulder and relaxing. For winter enthusiasts you can go snowshoeing, cross country skiing or down hill skiing at nearby Eldora Mountain Resort.
